Article on Online Shopping vs Traditional Shopping

Online shopping has its own pros and cons and traditional shopping has both. For someone who’s a very busy person and has no time to go out, walk from one shop to another and get things for themselves, online shopping is a great service. For people who love to go shopping and buy stuff in person, traditional shopping is the best way of shopping.

One of the best things about online shopping is that you can easily find anything on your mobile, order it from your phone and pay for it when the order is delivered to your home. You don’t have to go out personally and check everything and then buy your favorite items. But sometimes online shopping can be a huge scam. You cannot return the items you’ve bought online and hence if the size is wrong or the things you have ordered are of bad quality or the quantity is less you cannot do anything about it. The most you can do is leave a bad review about the website.

On the other hand, in traditional shopping, you can go to any shop of your choice and check the quality of the product and even check the sizes and material of the things you’re buying. This can save you from wasting your money from buying poor-quality things. In traditional shopping, you can get your product whenever you need it or want to use it but in online shopping, your parcel should take time to deliver and will not arrive on time when you have to use it. But on the other hand, online shopping is much safer and cheaper too. People prefer buying things online rather than traditional ways because it’s more convenient, saves you from the hustle, and can save your time too. One of the main reasons why everyone prefers online shopping these days is because of the rising cases of Covid 19. People are scared to go out because they unintentionally touch random things which can be a big factor in contracting the dangerous coronavirus. Everyone wants to stay safe and keep their loved ones safe too hence they prefer online shopping.

In today’s world where life is always on fast forward people are busy and would rather use their mobiles to buy things than go in person and if technology keeps taking over the world at the same place then the time is near where everyone would be online shopping and the tradition of traditional shopping would be completely vanished.

Sick Leave Application Due to Covid-19

The following is a sick leave application, in which a student humbly requests the vice-chancellor of his university to accept his leave.

Sick Leave Application Due to Covid-19

The Vice Chancellor,

University of Mumbai,

Mumbai

SUBJECT: Sick Leave due to Covid

Respected Sir,

My name is Irfa Shakeel, and I am a History student at your esteemed university. The coronavirus, which has been wreaking havoc on the lives of countless individuals, has also infected me. I’d had symptoms for over a week and had been tested for the virus two days before; the results came back positive today. Doctors recommended that I stay at home for a 14-day quarantine, so I would be unable to attend classes for the following two weeks. I don’t want to fall behind in attendance or academics, therefore a classmate will send me classwork and assignments on a regular basis to keep me on track.

I humbly request that you grant me a two-week leave so that I do not fall behind on my attendance and do not negatively impact anyone by being on school grounds. I’m hoping for a quick and positive response. Thank you for your interest and time.

Yours Obediently,

Irfa Shakeel

Sample Sick Leave Application due to Corona

The Vice Chancellor,

University of Mumbai,

Mumbai

SUBJECT: Sick Leave

Respected Sir,

My name is Vidya Khan, and I am a History student at your prestigious institution. The coronavirus has wreaked havoc on many people’s lives, and I feel it has also harmed mine. I’ve had a severe headache, nausea, a high temperature, and a sore throat for three days, all of which are symptoms of a coronavirus infection. To be cautious, I chose to self-quarantine myself for 7 days, take meds, and see if I get better; if not, I will get tested, and if I do not have the virus, I will be unable to attend university lectures for a week..

I respectfully seek a one-week vacation so that I don’t fall behind on my attendance and don’t risk infecting anybody by being on school grounds if I have the virus. I’m looking for a prompt and favourable response. Thank you for taking the time, paying attention, and making efforts to make our institution a safer and better environment.

Yours Obediently,

Vidya Khan

The Impact of Covid-19 on Students

The following article is regarding the Covid 19 situation and how it has affected the academic and mental lives of many students.

The Impact of Covid-19 on Students

INTRODUCTION

The coronavirus outbreak has spread to almost every country in the world. Its spread has caused national economies and businesses to calculate the costs, as governments attempt to implement additional lockdown measures to combat the virus’s transmission. This virus has not only harmed our physical health by causing dangerous symptoms like headaches and high fevers, but it has also harmed the psychological health of children and the elderly. Many people have died as a result of the illness, and many more are still infected and on the verge of death.

Effect On Academics

Millions of children miss school every day as a result of emergencies and ongoing humanitarian crises. The COVID-19 outbreak has exacerbated the plight of students in countries affected by or emerging from, conflict and disaster. Education is a fundamental entitlement for children, youth, and adults in emergencies, and it must be prioritized from the start of any and all disaster operations. Students are unable to focus on their studies, online classes are confusing for many, and some students do not have the financial means to purchase laptop computers or internet access in order to participate in the class. Students aren’t getting the attention they used to in on-campus classes, which has led to a drop in academic performance for many. The most significant impact is caused by the manner in which the exams are administered; false markings, late submission due to a lack of internet, and misplaced exams are just a few of the many reasons.

Effect On Mental life

The frustration that one student feels from being confined at home all day, not being able to go out and play football or simply hang out with friends, cannot be expressed in words. This indicates that even if one does not have the virus, he might be impacted during the pandemic. Many studies have indicated that anxiety and sadness are common, with women being more impacted. They’ve also seen a disrupted sleeping pattern, which correlates with both anxiety and sadness. In addition to the eating problems that many people have experienced, being bothered by the fact that they have nothing to do today tends to make them desire more food. Staying away from friends physically and only communicating with them over the internet has harmed more people than anybody can think, and this may cause damage even after the epidemic has finished since it will be tough for them to adjust to this new situation.

Fun Activities in Lockdown

Fun Activities in Lockdown

The coronavirus epidemic has spread to nearly every country on the planet. Its expansion has left national economies and companies calculating the expenses, as governments try to implement additional lockdown measures to combat the virus’s transmission. This virus has not only harmed our physical health by causing symptoms such as headaches and high fevers, which are already dangerous, but it has also harmed the psychological health of children and the elderly. Many people have perished as a result of the illness, while many more are still infected and are hanging by a thread.

In this article, I will attempt to explain some of the finest lockdown activities that will make the lockdown bearable, at least for the children. It’s easier said than done to keep the kids happy and amused so that the parents aren’t interrupted while working from home, listening to cries of “I’m bored, let’s do something.” Here I am here with some potential methods to avoid this.

  1. Bingo or card games

A read-at-home bingo game will encourage your children to read more. This game is ideal if you have siblings of similar ages who can compete to see who can finish their bingo grid first.

  1. Baking

Cookies, cakes, and brownies are all options. Baking is a fantastic way to learn about measurement, ingredients, and, of course, producing tasty treats.

  1.  A Virtual Picnic

Grab a sheet and any food you have on hand for a living room picnic, or move the fun outside in your personal backyard if you have the space.

  1.  Train a dog

If you have a family dog, why not take advantage of this opportunity to teach it some new tricks. Begin with the basics and work your way up to more difficult ones. Even an hour a day may make a significant effect.

  1.  Do some cleaning or organising

I realize cleaning isn’t really “fun,” but with everyone out of school and work, the house is going to get dirty, and soon. Set aside a few minutes, even if it’s only 15 minutes, each day to prioritize organization.

  1. Practice instruments

If your children are learning an instrument, be sure to schedule an hour of practice time each day, or start encouraging them to play in order to develop a new interest or improve an existing one.

Lockdown and quarantine have been challenging for everyone, but we must remain in our homes so that we do not become ill, and every family must take advantage of this opportunity to spend as much time as possible with their loved ones!
