Subject: A letter to get permission to use his tool in research

Respected Sir,

I am writing this letter to you to seek a permission to use your questionnaire for my research which is a compulsory part of my academic requirements in university. I am a student of MSC final year of Applied Psychology. I am studying research methodology. I am doing research on depression among adolescent girl. I am taking sample of 100 students from state college of science. Their age range is 13 years to 17 years. For my research I need your questionnaire scale.
Please give me details of your questionnaire for free, as I am a student and cannot afford the prize of your standardized instrument. I make sure that I will not misuse it and not sale it further. I will keep the confidentiality of your scale. After conducting my research, definitely I will share my results and all other information with you as an honor. You can use my research work anywhere.
I am waiting for your reply. If you need any other information regarding anything about my research does ask me. I am here to answer your questions related to research via email. I am sending you my hypothesis, prior researches supporting my hypothesis and research methodology.
I am very hopeful that you will allow me to use your instrumental questionnaire scale for my research. If you still cannot give it to me for free than please let me know. In such case kindly tell me about the minimum amount of that tool. Thanks.

Yours Obediently,
Miss Lido
