I apologize for writing you this late, but I wasn’t in a position to send you a letter. I traveled to Chennai with my family last week, and I’ve had a fever ever since. I tried fighting it and coming to work, but it just grew worse with time. I also took paracetamol, but it didn’t help, and I ended up seeing a doctor. He informed me that I had contracted a virus in Chennai, not the covid 19. He prescribed an antibiotic course for me to take for over a week and recommended that I stay at home until I recovered.
I sincerely request that you, the supervisor of my firm, accept my apologies and grant me sick leave. I don’t want my poor health to impact my academics. Thank you so much for your time and generosity.

My fever got me to the emergency and I was not able to walk doctors are running tests to see what caused such a severe reaction and sickness. I am currently admitted and still very sick. I do not think I will get better in a day and surely can not come to work today but it will be better if you approve my leave for 2 more days to give me time to get back to my health. I will report to you as soon as I will get better. Kindly approve the leave. Thanks.
