Respected Sir,

It is respectfully mentioned that I, Salar Butt, a student of History at your prestigious university, have been away for three days. I apologize for writing you this late, but I wasn’t in a position to send you a letter. I traveled to Chennai with my family last week, and I’ve had a fever ever since. I tried fighting it and coming to work, but it just grew worse with time. I also took paracetamol, but it didn’t help, and I ended up seeing a doctor. He informed me that I had contracted a virus in Chennai, not the covid 19. He prescribed an antibiotic course for me to take for over a week and recommended that I stay at home until I recovered.

I sincerely request that you, the supervisor of my firm, accept my apologies and grant me sick leave. I don’t want my poor health to impact my academics. Thank you so much for your time and generosity.

Yours Sincerely,

Salar Butt
