It is with the respect that I introduce myself as Vikas Ali, a fifth-semester History student at your excellent university. I’m composing this application because I’d like to take a little break. My maternal grandfather was diagnosed with last-stage cancer last month, and he lives alone in Chennai. My father and I have planned to travel to Chennai, collect him and his belongings, and transport him to Delhi so that he can be treated right in front of our eyes. And we plan on going there in two days.
It is my humble request that you allow me a four-day leave so that I can simply transport my grandfather back to our house. I appreciate your time and effort in making our institution the greatest in town.

My grandfather is infected with the coronavirus, and I spent the entire day with him when he received a positive test result. The physicians advised me to go on a five-day quarantine so that if I had the virus, it could be diagnosed and I wouldn’t spread it by going out. Along with quarantine at home, I have to cook for my grandfather and perform all of the household chores alone because I live alone with him.
It is my humble request that you allow me a four-day leave so that I can simply transport my grandfather back to our house. I appreciate your time and effort in making our institution the greatest in town.
