A newspaper can be regional,national or international newspapers occupy a very important place in a democratic country like Pakistan.They form an important link between government and the public.Public comes to know about government’s policies through them.They also keep the government informed of the reactions of the public,Thus they play a dual role.They help in increasing social awareness about social and national issues.They educate the public and help in removal of such evils as dowry,corruption,superstitions etc.Their free,frank and fearless reporting is necessary for the success of a democratic society.But biased and prejudiced reporting can be of great harm.They are the watchdog of democracy and human rights.Thus,they play a very constructive,social and political role.
Newspapers spread and promote patriotism and national feelings.They strengthen the bonds of  unity and integrity.They bring people more close to one another.They expose anti-social and anti-national elements.Many scandals and cases of corruption in high places in pakistan were brought to the public notice only because of them.They give expression to the grievances of the people and oblige the administration to redress them.They are a very powerful means of communication and mass media.We cannot think of life without them.
Newspapers carry great responsibility.Therefore,they have to be always truthful,alert and honest in their reporting.They have to play a constructive role. Bad,biased,and misleading news can create havoc.They should never be used as a means of selfish propaganda.It would mislead and misguide the readers.False and prejudiced reporting gives rise to rumours and harms national interests.Therefore,they should not be allowed to be owned by dishonest,selfish,and corrupt people. Highly sensational exaggerated and communal reporting is called yellow journalism.It poisons minds of the public and must be strictly checked.

Before discussing education system and its defects, It is important ts state a few definitions of Education so that the meaning of Education is made clear.

Education:

Our Education’s System: Education is a must for every member of the nation. The process of Education continues from the cradle to the grave. The secret of the survival of life lies in the Education.The nation which lacks Education dies soon. Education which is acquired through personal experiences lasts long.Today Educational institutions are busy in the Educational and academic activities and are busily transferring the cultural heritage to the younger generations.The system of Education of every country reflects its requirements. Each country has its own ideology according to which the system of Education is modified.Pakistan is unfortunate in the sense that in spite of a clear goal, no arrangements have been made to achieve this goal.Our Education system is not fulfilling the national requirements.There is no denying the fact that Pakistan came into being to uphold the islamic teachings in our education system has led to the separation of an integral part Each Pakistan .This shows that our education has collapsed miserably, it may be mentioned here that we inherited the present system of education from the British.It is a fact  that the British had no interest in our education system .

The English setting aside our old and useful system of Education farmed a new Education system which was aimed at alienating the Muslims from their religion,culture and civilization . The new English system of Education was shaped to mentally paralyses the Muslims.The second aim of this system was to produce a team of white-collared who could serve their British rulers in every possible way. The British somehow succeeded in producing such educated elite who were like their British rulers in mind and manner. Allama Iqbal could foresee the dreadful consequences of this system and portrayed them in his poetical masterpieces.

The defects of our Education system and the reforms needed:

Our Education system needs immediate changes, but before any changes could be suggested, it is important to review the defects in our system of Education.It is, however, imperative to have Islamic injunctions as the very basis of our Education system so that the younger generations could mold their Educational pursuits according to Islamic needs.

Educationists ought to chalk out a comprehensive plan so that it could be made clear in what proportions should the students be given the Education of science, commerce, medicines, arts, technology, education, administration etc.
In our education system,no attention is paid to the mental and moral training of the teachers who are,in fact,the architects of the nation.As such,it is necessary to establish a training institutions for women should also be established so that the concept of co-education could be abolished.

Educational institutions should be made autonomous so that the educationists could solve the Education related problems in a free atmosphere.Organised efforts should be made to enhance the literacy rate.English medium institutions do not fulfill the national requirements and accordingly such institutions should be abolished to create a compatibility in our education system.

The defective system of examination, lack of Libraries,declining standard of education, increasing corruption among the teachers, non-availability of research facilities, insufficient boarding and lodging facilities for students are some of the problems needing quick solution.

It is a pity that students are given only three hours to solve the question paper in examinations.It is very difficult for an intelligent student with vast knowledge to condense two years learning in three hours.

The Government should put a ban on the test papers and guides available in the mark so that the students should turn their energies and attention towards prescribed textbooks to attain thorough knowledge.These guides and keys, no doubt, help the students pass the examination but such students can never have a command over the subject.

It is all natural that no one person would like to come across adversity which may be called unluckiness, misfortune or failure.
This is because the adversity makes us drift away from the goal objective or thing we strongly want, to lay hands on. But sometimes it so happens that failure turns out to be a blessing in disguise. It brings us something good which we could never thought of and which we could never secured for us even by putting the best of us. Further, the adversity cost by failure teaches us how to avoid mistakes in future which made us come across the misfortune. This is probably why it is said that failure is the key to success or failure is the pillar of success. The meaning of this maximum is clear in the sense that our failure guides us what to do and when to get on the road to achievement and success. Moreover, misfortune brings out the best qualities in man which even he himself was ignorant of.
Once confronted with failure we learn how to move against all odds. It teaches us patience and also how to work hard persistently and consistently. Once failed in life on some occasions we find in us new vigour, vitality force and confidence to face the next difficulty. 
Same is true, of the achievements got and goals hit by the great men, who tested a number of times the bitterness of failure. Ultimately they could hit the target with confidence they had set before them when they exercise patience. What better example could we get other than the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) who has entrusted the task of bringing the whole human race into the folds of Islam. On many an occasion, he apparently failed but of-course, did not lose hope and faith in God. Then a time came when he could see the beams of Islam reach every nook and corner of Arabian peninsula. 
Adversity saves us from the vices accompanying the prosperity and effluence. Our society is replete with a number of evils. However, this is a usual observation that  the effluents of sections of the society get to drinking, gambling and other vices which the themselves away from. One cannot deny that adversity has its own fruit though it makes a little long for this fruit to ripen.

Want of proper physical exercise in the form of games and sports develops many mental problems. Mere intellectual attainment is not enough.Good health and sound body are also a must to face the challenges of life. Therefore,games and sports are an integral part of college education as well as we can chose it as a career. Education will remain incomplete without physical training and exercise.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy is a famous saying.After studies,some kind of physical exercise,games and sports are necessary.They refresh body and mind and provide recreation. A game of Football or Volleyball in the open air is very refreshing. A game of hockey or a match of badminton will help a student regain his lost mental and physical energy. Pakistan needs good and great players and sports persons.They are in great demand to participate in national and international events.Pakistan record in this respect has been very poor.The boys and girls should be caught at the very young age and trained in  different games and sports.There should be no school or college without a proper playground attached to it.Mere mental education is of no use without physical education.They should go hand-in-hand as an integral part of education.They are complementary to each other.

Reading is Essential and Study Guide

Man seeks pleasure, he loves and pleasure. Many of his activities are simply for it. He can undertakes any risk for it. For e.d he enjoys sky-diving, surf-riding, rock-climbing, hunting beasts for prey, these activities are full of danger. Then there’re various games sports and hobbies, he can be called a pleasure seeking being. The pleasure got from reading is unique. It provides a matchless pleasure. It is full of many benefits.

There are some hobbies which give pleasure but that may be harmful, mostly are dangerous. But reading is a very healthy, useful and economical hobby. It gives pleasure which id desirable and preferable. The range of reading material is very vast. You can choose history, philosophy, biography, poetry drama, fiction, short stories, mythology or travel as your subject. The choice is so wide, rich and varied. You may also select jokes, comics and deductive material. It is the best pleasure time pursuit. The ability to read books, newspapers and magazines and derive pleasure from them is a great boon.

Those who have this habit and hobby are fortunate. Reading provides many additional benefits it increases word power, experience knowledge and skills of expressions. In the words of Francis Bacon “Reading makes a full man; conferene a ready man, and writing an exact man.” The hobby and habit of reading should be developed at the early age. It doesn’t mean that it can’t be had at advanced age. But it can be cultivated best in childhood. Reading required special skills and aptitude. 7 Cs of Success in Business and Life

Clarity:


Eighty percent of success comes from being clear on who you are, what you believe in and what you want. One must have to be clear about his own perceptions, own views and own thinking. Clarity comes from  your own personality. One sees the same which is in his frame of reference.Clarity of your thinking, clarity of your thoughts, being clear from every point so that the other person may feel your perception clearly.

Clarity is essential in effective communication. Factors such as unity, coherence, emphasis, subordination, pace, transition, point of view, conciseness, and correctness all influence the clarity of a piece of correspondence.

The style module provides detailed guidelines for clear writing. In addition, keep these tips in mind:
  • Keep your ideas focused around a single purpose. If the piece of correspondence has multiple purposes, establish a set organizational structure that is easy to follow and keep sections within the structure focused on one idea.
  • Find the most efficient language to convey the information.
  • Pare down your writing to its most essential elements. If necessary, rearrange sentences and eliminate excess words to make communication as direct as possible.
  • Plan ahead. Give yourself enough time to draft and revise for unity, coherence, emphasis, subordination, pace, transition, point of view, conciseness, and correctness .
Competence:

You can’t climb to the next rung on the ladder until you are excellent at what you do now. Being excelled in everything must be your task. The art of competence takes you higher. Being your own boss is one of the thing. Your proper guidelines to yourself matters. To compete through everything makes a clear pathway towards your goal.

Constraints:


Eighty percent of all obstacles to success come from within. Find out what is constraining in you or your company and deal with it. Knowing the hurdles and how to tackle them is the trick. Until and unless you are not well aware of what is happening and what can happen next, you can’t perceive yourself as properly ready person. 

Concentration:


Concentration, in chemistry is defined as the abundance of a constituent divided by the total volume of a mixture. The term can be applied to any kind of chemical mixture, but most frequently it refers to solutes in solutions. It can also be used to mean the action or power of focusing one’s attention or mental effort on one particular thing above all others.

The ability to focus on one thing single- minded and see it through until it’s done takes more character than anything else. Getting stick to your task with all your focus is the main thing. Your concentration is related with your mindset. As much you’ll concentrate the more you will be be near to your task. To focus sometimes gets tricky or difficult to manage, but your own mind can get through the condition and makes you able to get involved in your task.

Creativity:

So, the seven steps to having ideas are:

1-  Information Material:

Information is the raw material from which ideas are born. There are two types of relevant information, specific and general.

General information includes just about anything and everything, and gathering it is a lifelong exercise. It basically comes down to general knowledge and education, and can be cultivated through the usual channels: reading widely and having an active interest in life and the world around you, and in particular in people, how they live, what they think and how they behave.
Specific information is directly relevant to the topic in hand. You clearly need to get all the specific information you can lay your hands on. If you’re writing an advert for a product or service, you would expect the client to come up with most of it, although you’ll probably want to do some of you own research as well. If you’re writing a blog post on a topic, you’ll need to gather your information from far and wide.
These days, gathering information is a much faster process thanks to the internet. The down side to that is you’ll need to be judicious, and discard that which isn’t really relevant. Otherwise, you’re likely to get overwhelmed during step 2, where you have to sift the information.

2- Sift the information:

Work over the information, turning it over and around until you see how it all fits together. A direct pursuit of ‘meaning’ might be counterproductive. You may need to try a subtle approach, and sneak up on the topic, looking at things from various angles.

If small snippets of ideas start coming to you at this stage, write them down, even if they seem crazy.

The more you turn and sift the information, the better you understand it, the easier it will be to see and really understand the relationships. And the more ideas you will have.

3- Let the information bubble:

The next stage is to let the information bubble away for a while, keep it on simmer in your mind. You need to let your unconscious mind work on it for a time. It’s a good idea to do something else for a while, to stimulate your imagination and emotions. Try reading, listening to music, meditate, go for a walk, while your mind digests the facts. Or you could try the traditional approach – take a warm bath and wait for the eureka moment.

4- Let the ideas flow:

It’s at this stage that ideas should start to appear, as if from ‘nowhere’. This is where you hope for a ‘Eureka’ moment. The answer to your problem may appear to leap into your mind for no apparent reason.

But what if it doesn’t come? You keep going, writing down the best ideas you can come up with. If your ideas aren’t strong enough yet, don’t panic, because you’ll get to have another go at this part of the process. So take the very best ideas you can come up with, and move on to step five.

5-  Develop your idea :

Now your idea needs to be shaped and moulded, turned into something real. This where your writing skills come to the fore.

6- Share your idea:

Now show your idea to others and see what they think. They may be able to add to it and make it better. That may spark new ideas, and so the process becomes ever more creative.

7- Repeat Tasks:

If necessary, use the feedback you got in step 6, and add that to the information you gathered in step 1. Now repeat step 2, sifting the new information with the existing facts. Then repeat steps 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Keep it going, until you have the best idea you can come up with, or you hit the deadline, and have to go with what you have developed so far.
So, the good news is that you can learn to be more creative and have stronger ideas. You:
  • Gather the information
  • Sift it
  • Let it percolate
  • Let the ideas flow
  • Shape and mold the ideas
  • Share them with others
  • Put the feedback into the loop; and repeat the process to strengthen your ideas.
That’s the good news. The bad news is, despite what I said at the start about the importance of ideas – and don’t get me wrong they are important – despite that, the truth is that having ideas is the easy part of writing.
Courage:

Most in demand and least in supply, courage is the willingness to do the things you know are right. Your courage is your determination power, it brings you up and won’t let you go down. With courage you are able to reach your goal. Your surety  and willingness depends upon your courage. It indirectly link up with your aim, it makes you able to recreate and enhances your capability to do work and get succeeded. ‘It matters not how long we live but how’

Spouse my aim does not end there.I shall devote a part of my time in doing voluntary work in hospitals and charitable dispensaries.I would also devote a part of my time to the welfare of my country and my people.I would go to politics or any public work to serve my country and play my humble part in the social,political,religious and educational reforms,resulting in the progress of my country.Aim is very essential part of life,To conclude,aim of life fully suits to tendencies and ideas about life.I know in my heart that this is the path best fitted for me by nature and i would leave no stone upturned to attain it. The purpose of life should be a life of purpose.

Continuous learning:

Read, at the very least, one book a week on business to keep you miles ahead of the competition. This may be hard but it will test your desire to reach excellence/success?. Just as you eat and bathe, organize your time so you spend 30 minutes a day exploring emails, sending messages, going through websites, because like exercise, it’s the only way you can keep on top of technology. If you get away from it, you’ll lose your edge. Learning is a continuous process as no one is perfect. One learns throughout the life, at whatever position he is, whatever designation he has. Even man learns from his juniors. Can learn moral as well as social values and indirectly one do apply it in his routine life. Our whole society is involved in this process. In learning your education doesn’t matter, your experience and your own will power matters. It’s a bit time taking but once you get involved consider yourself within the natural process.

Choice of a profession and career is of great important. On the right and timely choice of a career depends much success in life. It decides the future success or failure. The fruits of indecision are bitter. Similarly, one should try to choose one’s career as early as possible. It should be determined by the time one takes one’s first board examination
.
This is the age of much competition life is now really complex. Things are moving fast. There are a great variety of careers and professions. T makes the matters worse. One feels confused and bewildered in choosing a right career. The lack of proper counseling and guidance worsens the situation. The young students find themselves groping in the dark. As a result of all these, there is much unemployment and frustration. It also means lot of waste of money, time and energy. The students should take the help of elders, teachers and professionals in deciding their careers. They should choose their careers according to their aptitude and resources.
 
Young people are ambitions impatient and eager to achieve good positions. They want to become high official, executives and have top positions without considering their qualification, skills etc. this is a wrong attitude. One should be realistic; making castles in the air is of no help. One may dream of becoming a super film star and end up as a more casual artist or a help boy. Such over-ambitions lead to disillusionment and unhappiness.

It is better to choose a career at the high school level than go for higher studies aimlessly. One should go for a vocational course at this stage. It will one to stand on one’s feet in 23 years of time. There are many training institutions, polytechnics and professionals colleges. There are many career, professions and vocations to choose from. There are teaching, engineering, medical, law, technical, business, trade, computer applications careers, government employment, positions in police and army etc. one can start one’s own shop, factory, workshop or small scale industry.
Then one can choose acting commercial arts, fashion designing, advertisement etc. but each of these require special aptitude, training and resources. One may have proper qualifications and aptitude for a career of a doctor or engineer. But if there are no financial resources, one cannot choose it as his career.
 
Choice of a career is not simply a matter of likes and dislikes. Financial resources play a very important role in deciding to choose a profession. For lack of funds one will have to choose a far humbles career. Change of career amid st the stream may prove risky. It is not wise to change careers now and then. Therefore, select your career carefully and wisely, once decided, stick to your decision. Use all your energy and resources to obtain your aim.

One can take to politics if one has aptitude for public life. Politics is not always dirty. It is a profession of hard labor and perseverance. There are many ups and downs. You should be well prepared for all that. If you have strong optimism, ambition for fame and prepare to face the worst, you are best suited for politics. If you have aptitude for books, reading, quite life and studies, you should choose teaching. It is a noble profession. You can then become a teacher, lecturer of a professor. If you have enough money and resources and want to grow rich, you can choose business as your career.
 
Once you have chosen your career, it is not possible to retrace your steps. If you do, you are a great looser. While choosing a profession, you stand at a cross road. Once a choice is made, three is no escape. Therefore, be practical, logical and responsible in choosing your profession. This is a crucial choice. Take into consideration your liking, resources, qualifications etc. before deciding the course of your future life.

Today we’re living in modern world, which is turning to a Global Village. People are moving on and  progressing day by day, we are becoming competitive, competition has changed ourselves from pleasure to busy life . Things have changed. People have become idealistic, optimistic, reality is far from their lives, their thoughts, mode of living, standards have changed. English language is becoming a necessity way of communication regarding business, jobs, skills, IT, even it has been involved in our personal lives. Our community feels proud for their speaking English language or conveying message in English language and forgetting their regional. For communication it’s the most powerful tool worldwide. For people in any field it is doing job of a linking chain.This has gain the status of most useful and commonly speaking language. In this digital age, computers can be seen populating everywhere. Eighty percent of computer data are processed and stored in English. Much satellite communication use English.

English is the most important world language today. No language is so widespread as language.The number of people who speak English now exceeds 400 million. In most of the developing countries in Asia and Africa, English is the medium of instruction.They also translate famous English books into their languages.They know that to the diffusion of Knowledge and for the progress of their countries in various fields, English is indispensable. English provides the readiest access to the cream of world scholarship and to the bulk of world trade.English is the key which opens doors to scientific and technical knowledge indispensable to the economic and political development of vast areas of the world. An increase in the knowledge of English can contribute directly to greater understanding among nations. It can also be the mean of assuring access to a treasure house of man’s knowledge about himself, about his political experiments, his philosophies and his inner human needs (US Government Publication ‘International Education and Cultural Exchange’. From the V-standard on words English is taught as a compulsory subject in China and Germany.

English one of the richest languages in the world. Its vocabulary is very large. About seventy per cent of world literature is in English. Two thirds of worlds correspondence is now written in English. One half of the world’s newspapers are printed in it and three quarters of the world broadcasts are delivered in English. If we learn English we shall be able to read the famous books written in all other languages. We can also enjoy the works of Shakespeare, Milton and other famous writers in English.
To a country like Pakistan English is indispensable. Ours is a developing country. She requires the latest development in the field of science and technology. To know these development English is necessary. We also require English for international negotiations.
In this age of space travel and the atom own ideal should not be national but international. The nations of the world now remain inter-dependent. In such a world how can we live on a solitary island? At present a large number of our people have been able to secure employment abroad. They studies their subjects in our regional language, they would have been constrained to live in Pakistan. It can thus be seen that English has mitigated the acuteness of the unemployment in our country.
What should be the medium of instruction at our universities? This is often discussed, some educationists think that we must have regional languages as the medium of instruction, some others argue that it will be unwise if we change the medium,
We admit, if instruction is imparted to the student in the regional language , he will understand it easily. We have no objection to continuing the regional languages at schools.
But the duties and responsibilities of universities are different from those of school. One of the important tasks of a university is to promote research and make the country go ahead in al branches of knowledge. A university stands for the adventure of ideas and for the search for truth, it should welcome knowledge and spread it by teaching and publishing books on various subjects. For research and the teaching of various subjects there is paucity of books in our language. But there are plenty of books in English on these subjects.
If the regional language is used as the medium of instruction, standard of efficiency will go down in administration, industry, the professions and even in the universities themselves. It would also mean a permanent set back to the process of national integration.
The future of English is not bright in north. It will be unjust if the younger generation is deprived of a language that makes one quite at home in any part of the world. The study of English will enrich our regional languages.
Our people should get rid of their hatred for English and realize the great service this opulent language has been rendering since it was introduced in our country in the last century. It is the window on the rest of the world.

We do not, however, advocate the retention of English for a very long time. When we achieve economic self-sufficiency, we can dispense with English. Even then those who wish to learn it may not be denied the opportunity of doing so.
Scientists have found out that five thousand newspapers, more than half of the newspapers published in the world, are published in English. Even in many countries where English is a minority language, there is still at least one newspaper in English. It can allow you to understand people all over around the world, gain knowledge from new technologies, and connect your understandings while traveling from places to places. English Language is used in two major ways:

For all such people command on English language is very much necessary. For employees their salary depends upon their communication and handling power more than their work. Ensure that you do not ramble or recite your points, as it may seem very unimpressive, which might also project you as unintelligent.  Make sure that you are speaking effortlessly, preferably at a slow pace and not just uttering what you have memorized.Your talking styles matters, and it should be frank and confident along with accuracy.

Listening Skill:

Good communicators know the importance of listening. They will tell you that listening is more important than even speaking. While in a conversation, if you do not listen carefully to what others are speaking, it will appear as if you are simply trying to put your point of view only and trying to dominate others, which might project you as very arrogant. This at times may prove a pitfall for you. Resist distractions and encourage the speaker. A good listener has the power to create a good audience, so try to maximize your audience and pay regard to what they say.

The demand for English Language is getting enhanced day by day, in European countries they use the same, but in Eastern countries like Pakistan, Asia, India people with high and effective vocabulary and accent are preferred more. People with good English as a skill get more chances to get success and have appealing resume. In first impression, they create their good image. The people who are not aware of it, have to face many problems. Improving your communication comes with regular practice.

As proven, ‘Practice makes a man perfect’. No matter how intelligent you are, your communication skill is the only attribute that convince your listener or reader. Many courses like IELTS and TOEFL etc are recommended but all is about your own will. but some people are not able to do such courses, for them I’d recommend to buy CD’s of English language and practice. To write at your own as well as try to speak in front of others. Good vocabulary usage via having a dictionary is a great source.
